VHS Music Students tryout for Honor Choirs

Junior Baley Sargent is selected to the Concordia Honor Choir

VHS Choir member, Baley Sargent, was recently selected to be part of the Concordia University Honor Choir. This is a national choir with students from Nebraska, Kansas, Tennessee, Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, and South Dakota. This Honor Choir will practice at the Seward Campus on Friday, November 2nd and 3rd. Their concert will be held at the Lied Center in Lincoln on Saturday, November 3rd, at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Mrs. Russell took 9 students to Ogallala on Saturday, 13, 2007 to tryout for The Nebraska Music Educators Honor Choir. Those names will posted next Tuesday, October 23, 2007. And they will be posted right here as soon as Mrs. Russell receives the email! We will even make a link to the Music Educators' web site also.

Last but not least, 26 VHS Choir students will try out for the Chadron State Honor Choir and 8 students will also tryout for the Chadron State Honor Band. These tryouts are due November 15, 2007, and the CSC Honor Choirs and Bands will rehearse and perform February 4th and 5th, 2008 at Chadron State College. More information will be posted later.
