VHS Attends West Holt Speech Meet

VHS Speech Team brings home the Runner-up Trophy at West Holt

The Valentine Speech Team brought home the Runner-Up Trophy from the West Holt Invitational Speech Meet. Serious Prose Champion was Caitlin Brown, followed by Megan Hoefs in second and Katie Young with fourth. Humorous Prose Champion was Katie Young with Katie Tehrani earning third place. Laura Hamling brought home second place in Informative and Extemp. Also in extemp, Kevin Klein earned the fourth place medal. In Poetry, Megan Hoefs placed second and Katie Isom was third in persuasive. The OID team brought home the third place medal with three members: Kris Sharp, Katie Tehrani and Caitlin Brown. In Novice events, medalists were Jacob Tehrani, tied for first place in Entertainment; Jasen Ramos in Persuasive earned 4th place.
Superiors went to Staci Starr in Serious Prose and Humorous Prose, Kris Sharp in Humorous Prose, Brandon Ormesher in Persuasive, Amy Graham in Poetry. In Novice, superiors were earned in Jasen Ramos in Persuasive; Jacob Tehrani in Humorous.
