2008 Chadron State Scholastic Contest

Valentine High School Brings Home Top Honors

April 10, 2008

Thirty-two students from Valentine High School scored on 23 tests to win Division 3.  According to the Chadron State web site, Valentine scored more points than any other school at the contest.  To score points a student had to score in the top 20% of the students taking the test.

Alex Arnold  -  7th in General Anatomy and Physiology

Ryan Butler  -  2nd in American History

                      11th in General Biology

Brianna Butler  -  7th in World Geography

Joni Colburn  -  16th in Algebra I

Trent Harris  -  5th in English Usage

                       8th in Physics

Andy Keech  -  3rd in Economics

Jace Lemmon  -  3rd in Drafting & Graphic Communications

                         3rd in Construction Technology

Eric Lindvall  -  15th in American History

                       6th in Computer Science

Esther Petersen  -  5th in General Science

Erica Schneider  -  7th in English Usage

Elie Schuchardt  -  11th in Chemistry

Sara Simmons  -  3rd in Plane Geometry

Ethan Simmons  -  10th in Advanced Mathamatics

                            2nd in Computer Science

                             1st in Business Law

Katie Tehrani  -  5th in Sociology

Katie Young  -  3rd in Sociology

                       6th in Vocabulary

 

Congratulations to TRIPLE winner Ethan Simmons and his 1st place finish in Business Law.  Kudos also go out to double winners Ryan Butler, Trent Harris, Jace Lemmon, and Katie Young.
