7 VHS Girls Qualify for State Track

Congratulations to the track team on their great performances yesterday at District Track. The girls team took 4^th place overall. Kara Mercure placed 3^rd in the High Jump, won the 100, & took 3^rd in the 200. Laura Miller placed 4^th in the 200 and 2^nd in the 400. Kathleen Aschoff placed 2^nd in the High Jump. The 4X100 team of Kara Mercure, Michaela Petersen, Laura Miller, & Ariel Gass took 2^nd

place.

4 X 400 2nd Place Team, STATE BOUND!

The 4X400 team of Lakota Prentice, Kathleen Aschoff, Chelsea Boyd, & Laura Miller placed 2^nd. Those all qualified for State. The Girls 4X800 team did not qualify for State but they placed 4^th. The team consisted of Miranda Lurz, Emily Hollopeter, Whitney Willcuts, & Lakota Prentice. Chelsea Boyd placed 5^th in the 400.

VHS Girls headed to the 2009 State Track Meet: Chelsey Boyd, Kara Mercure, Lakota Prentice, Laura Miller, Michaela Petersen, Kathleen Aschoff, and Ariel Gass.

The Boys team did not have anyone qualify for State and tied overall at 9^th. Beau Billings was 5^th in the 2 mile. Jacob Arendt was 5^th in the 400, and the 4X800 boys team finished in 6^th place. That 4X800 boys team consists of Ben Shelbourn, Eric Arnold, Shane Hobbs, & John L. Michalek.
