Rural Schools Upper Grades Field Trip
On October 5, 2009, rural 4th through 8th graders loaded up on a Badger bus and headed to Crawford, NE for a tour of the Ft. Robinson Historical Museum and Trailside Museum.
The tour of the Historical Museum presented the students the opportunity to learn about all the ways Ft. Robinson has been utilized through the years.
Following the tour of the Historical Museum students went to the Trailside Museum to look at the fossils. They were challenged to a scavenger hunt in which they had to locate information about the fossils in the building. The first team to complete the questions correctly was awarded a small prize from the museum. J.T. from Cutcomb Lake and Jake from Wood Lake tied with Bailey and Amber from Simeon East for the win.
We extend our thanks to our bus driver, Mr. May, for safe transportation. Despite the rainy weather, the students and teachers had a great day!
